The NJ Bandits are pleased to announce Mike Winters as the 14AA Head Coach for the 2019-2020 Season.

Coach Winters has been coaching with the New Jersey Bandits since 2004. He has coached from Mite C through 16AA. In that span his teams have earned tournament titles, league championships, playoff championships, Silver Stick Regional championships, and Atlantic District championships. He is currently the Assistant Coaching Director to Justin Stanlick (Hockey Director). Coach Winters helped coach the 16AA National Team in 2017-2018 to respectable 1-2 at the National Tournament (2 close losses at the hands of the 2 teams who eventually played for the National Championship). Coach Winters previously ran the Ice Vault’s Atoms program for 7 years and the NJ Bandit Mite program for 3 years. In 2018 he was put in charge  of the Mite program again to oversee its overall growth and development. Coach Winters is also part of the Ice Vault’s Hockey Department running clinics and numerous summer camps. Coach Winters was a member of the Ramsey High School varsity coaching  staff from 2007-2015. During that time frame, Ramsey became a public state powerhouse and claimed numerous league titles, division titles, playoff championships, several deep state tournament runs (3 finals appearances), and 1 state title. Coach Winters worked for USA Hockey’s Atlantic District for 4 years and coached at several district and festival camps. He also was part of Jim Hunt’s (then Regional ADM Manager) staff for 3 years guiding  and implementing USA Hockey’s American Development Model in the local area. Coach Winters received his CEP Level 5 Masters from USA Hockey in 2013 in Washington, D.C.
